Who We Are

Carmine Partners is lead by two friends and former colleagues, Ferdinand & Evan, with the support of experienced investors, operators and innovators. We grew up in small towns in Upstate New York and began our careers in the finance industry at the same two firms. After graduating with our MBAs, we founded Carmine Partners as we realized we shared not only a long-term friendship and mutual values, but also a professional interest in entrepreneurship and reconnecting with our passion for small business.

Managing Partner
Ferdinand developed a strong appreciation for the relationship development, community involvement and positive, tangible impacts that come with working alongside smaller businesses during his involvement with his family’s restaurant business (three decades and running!).
Prior to founding Carmine Partners, Ferdinand was at Onex, a leading private equity firm where he worked closely with management teams to execute on strategic projects and evaluated investments across healthcare, business and financial services, and industrials. Prior to Onex, Ferdinand was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan focused on energy infrastructure.
Ferdinand received his MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago (Phi Beta Kappa).

Managing Partner
Evan's foray into small business entrepreneurship began when he founded a landscaping and snow removal business in Syracuse, NY while in high school, which explains his affinity for residential services.
Before Carmine, Evan worked as an investor and operator at private equity funds Vesey Street Capital Partners and Onex, and began his career as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan. Most of Evan’s career has been dedicated to investing in and nurturing businesses in the healthcare, financial services, fintech and software sectors.
Evan received a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and B.A. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University while also playing wide receiver on the football team. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
